Fall Festival

It may not feel like fall, but yes - it has arrived and soon the leaves will be turning into their magnificent golden harvest colors that will sure be enjoyed by all of us. And what great way to welcome Fall by having our Annual Fall Festival this Saturday, October 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm. We will be joined by such talented artisans with their crafts such as pottery, jewelry, baskets, handmade dolls, crochet items, and primitive handstitched pillows and decor. Come inside the gift shop to see the many new things that have arrived for your fall home decor. Unique items from antique to vintage to whimsical and just-so-cute to have for your home. And don't forget our homemade jellies.

The Concert & Movie in the park that were held last Saturday (9/18) turned out fabulous! The band, "Just Passin' Thru" did an awesome job entertaining us with their bluegrass, Americana music. Thanks to Joey & his talented family for a great show!

Our first 2011 Grayson Arts & History Center calendar is now available in our gift shop. This calendar was such a pleasure of a project for us involved in Memory of Our Beloved Gracie. The price is $14.00 each.

Primitive Pillows and Such

My Primitive Pillows are all hand stitched by me. To give it that primitive look, I used tea and coffee to stain the muslin fabric. I use *DMC embroidery floss thread, cotton Homespun fabric and stuffed in hypo-allergenic polyester fil.
